Electric Six

Electric Six bring their Detroit-bred collision of rock, disco and new wave to O2 Academy Bristol on 4 December 2026. Formed in 1996 and first known as The Wildbunch, the band cut through the early 2000s with Danger! High Voltage and Gay Bar, then set the tone on the album Fire: sharp riffs, four-on-the-floor pulse and lyrics that wink as much as they bite. Frontman Dick Valentine has steered a changing lineup through Señor Smoke, Switzerland and a steady run of records up to Turquoise in 2023, keeping the blend of garage crunch, synth grooves and glam attitude focused on movement and hooks.

On stage, Electric Six push the tempo and lean into contrasts: barbed guitar, rubbery basslines, keyboard lines that pop and choruses built to stick. The set pivots between early singles and later cuts, with satire never far from the beat and a club-trained sense of rhythm anchoring the charge. Detroit roots, disco nerves, rock muscle — the mix stays elastic and direct, landing in Bristol with a catalogue designed for motion.
