Electric Six

On November 18, 2026 Electric Six plays Patronaat in Haarlem. The Detroit outfit formed in 1996 (originally as The Wildbunch) and developed a mix in which rock, disco, new wave, garage and funk collide head-on. Led by singer Dick Valentine, it’s all about tight riffs, driving basslines and synth hooks, with lyrics that poke fun at pop icons and macho posturing. In the early 2000s the breakthrough singles “Danger! High Voltage” and “Gay Bar” and the album Fire followed; since then the band has steadily issued records, most recently Turquoise.

Live, Electric Six opts for momentum and contrasts: biting guitars, drums that pull you to the dancefloor and choruses that land immediately. The setlist in Haarlem blends early favourites with more recent material, while the band moves between glam flourishes, new-wave hues and hard-rock energy. Always with that playful sense of timing that characterises their shows. For those who like their rock spiked with electronics, groove and a wink.
