This Is Lorelei

On October 30, 2026 at Lee’s Palace in Toronto, This Is Lorelei brings the intimate, shape-shifting songcraft of Nate Amos to the stage. Best known as half of Water From Your Eyes, Amos uses This Is Lorelei as a space for songs that drift between guitar pop, lo-fi indie and understated folk, with the occasional experimental detour. The project leans on clear melodies, agile arrangements and a way of nudging familiar forms without losing their simplicity.

After a run of discreet releases, Box for Buddy, Box for Star (2024) opened a new chapter, carrying these songs across tours in the US and Europe and drawing fresh attention to a catalog long shared under the radar. Some pieces have since been reinterpreted by artists like MJ Lenderman and Snail Mail, a sign of how these tunes travel. With Holo Boy (2025), Amos revisited material written between 2014 and 2021, not as a standard compilation but as newly cut versions connected by a cleaner, guitar-forward sound, acoustic and electric. Live, that thread runs through older tracks and recent work, tracing the project’s evolution with a calm, unforced clarity.
