ADMT

On 5 February 2027 at Patterns in Brighton, ADMT brings a set built from lived experience. Doncaster-born Adam Taylor started out as a teenage drummer in a local band that even toured the US, before coming home, taking shifts in a bottling plant and pivoting to writing and singing. A first Sofar Sounds show in Camden led to a run of acoustic dates where his singer-songwriter pop with folk edges took shape.

Prison, co-written with Mikey Gormley, marked a turning point, turning a tough patch into clear, unguarded lyrics about mental health and the strain of everyday life. From there, ADMT took his songs to the street across Yorkshire until he could leave the day job. An acoustic cover of 50 Cent’s Best Friend travelled far online and earned a nod from the rapper, widening his audience without losing that direct, unvarnished tone. He has also worked with UK hip-hop group Foreign Beggars.

On stage he keeps it close and rhythmic, a carryover from years behind the kit: stripped arrangements, upfront melodies, words that land without fuss. In Brighton, he leans into intimacy, resilience and small truths, shaped by rooms, pavements and everything in between.
