Raised in Houston and now based in Los Angeles, he has shaped a quiet, personal approach built on close-miked vocals, fingerpicked guitars and understated arrangements. His songs move at an unhurried pace, leaning into lyrics about relationships, memory and growing up, with subtle keys and occasional strings adding texture without crowding the voice.

On stage, John Vincent III performs solo or with a small, tight band, letting space and dynamics guide the set. Expect selections from Blue Boy (2019), which set the blueprint for his hushed sound world, alongside tracks from Songs for the Canyon (2023), where the palette widens slightly while keeping the writing centered on melody and proximity.
