Fally Ipupa

Fally Ipupa lands at The O2, London on 25 October 2026 with a set tracing his path from the Kinshasa orchestras to international stages. Singer, songwriter and bandleader shaped by rumba congolaise and ndombolo, he first stood out in Koffi Olomide’s Quartier Latin before going solo in the mid-2000s. From Droit Chemin, Arsenal de Belles Melodies and Power Kosa Leka to the afro-urban turn of Tokooos, Control, Tokooos II and Formule 7, his catalogue brings together soukous guitars, call-and-response vocals and rolling rhythms with pop, R’n’B and hip-hop influences.

On stage, Lingala lyrics drive both slow ballads and dance-led passages, with seben breaks stretching the groove and putting the band up front. The show moves between old-school rumba patterns and contemporary production, shifting from intimate voice-led moments to full-ensemble momentum.
