Boys Like Girls

Boys Like Girls bring their hooky pop rock to O2 Academy Glasgow on 15 July 2026. Formed in Andover, Massachusetts in 2005, the band came up through the mid‑2000s emo‑pop and pop‑punk wave, first breaking online before hitting the road with Warped Tour and Bamboozle. Their calling card: clean, punchy guitars, big choruses and a straight-ahead songwriting style that leans into melody and momentum. The current lineup sees frontman Martin Johnson and drummer John Keefe joined by Gregory James and Jamel Hawke.

On stage, they draw a line from the self‑titled debut and Love Drunk to the more polished turns of Crazy World and the 2023 return Sunday at Foxwoods. Expect a set that balances early staples and newer cuts, with crowd favourites like The Great Escape, Thunder, Hero/Heroine and Love Drunk alongside their crossover moment Two Is Better Than One. It’s pop rock with a punk pulse, built for loud guitars and communal sing‑alongs, revisiting the era that launched them while showing where the band is now.
