Info
Ocean Colour Scene headline The O2, London on 9 December 2026. Formed in Birmingham in 1989, the band moved from early baggy roots to a crisp, song‑driven blend of britpop, blues rock and English soul. The core of Simon Fowler, Steve Cradock and Oscar Harrison has kept a steady course: melodic choruses, clean guitars, supple rhythms and a clear mod sensibility. On stage, they often draw on the run that made their name — Moseley Shoals (1996), Marchin’ Already (1997), One from the Modern (1999) — while folding in later cuts from Mechanical Wonder to Painting. Concise, straight‑ahead rock with discreet psychedelic shades and a sixties lineage runs through their catalogue.
The Enemy join the bill. Born in Coventry in 2006, Tom Clarke, Andy Hopkins and Liam Watts shaped a lean indie rock sound with punk bite and everyday storytelling. Short, tense, melodic tracks powered their four‑album arc — from We’ll Live and Die in These Towns (2007) to It’s Automatic (2015) — before a break in 2016 and a return to the stage from 2022. Live, the trio’s direct guitars and tight rhythms bring their street‑level narratives into focus, a sharp foil to Ocean Colour Scene at The O2.
