Alkaline Trio

Alkaline Trio brings its Chicago-bred punk to O2 Institute Birmingham on 3 July 2026. Since 1996, the band has honed a lean three-piece sound built on the interplay between Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano, two voices that trade melody and grit. Their songs fold pop-punk hooks into darker shades of emo and alternative rock, with black humour, heartbreak and a macabre edge threading through the lyrics. On stage, the trio keeps it tight and direct: sharp choruses, punchy tempos, and harmonies that cut through the noise. The set typically travels across their catalogue, from the raw urgency of Goddamnit and Maybe I’ll Catch Fire to the breakout years of From Here to Infirmary and Good Mourning, through the broader textures of Crimson and Agony & Irony, the back-to-basics hit of This Addiction, and recent tracks from Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs.
