Info
Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit play Symphony Hall, Birmingham, United Kingdom on 10 June 2026. Formed around the Alabama-born songwriter after his years with Drive-By Truckers, the band blends americana, alt-country and Southern rock with an eye for clear storytelling. The set draws across their catalogue, from the self-titled 2009 album and Here We Rest to The Nashville Sound and Reunions, recorded with producer Dave Cobb, and Weathervanes released in 2023.
On stage, the 400 Unit’s guitars, organ and rhythm section give the songs a steady, unhurried drive, leaving space for Isbell’s lucid voice and plain-spoken narratives. The music shifts between lean rockers and reflective ballads, built on melody, groove and small instrumental details. Anchored by a core of long-time collaborators, the group connects Muscle Shoals roots with the independent edge of Nashville, carrying a songwriting tradition that speaks to everyday lives without ornament.
