The Darkness bring their glam-schooled hard rock to Cardiff. Formed in Lowestoft around brothers Justin and Dan Hawkins with bassist Frankie Poullain, and now joined by drummer Rufus Taylor, the band leans on what defined them: twin-guitar hooks, melodic choruses and Justin’s elastic falsetto. Permission to Land (2003) set the tone with I Believe in a Thing Called Love, Love Is Only a Feeling and the seasonal Christmas Time (Don’t Let the Bells End). Since then they’ve kept the engine running through One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back, Hot Cakes, Last of Our Kind, Pinewood Smile, Easter Is Cancelled, Motorheart and the recent Dreams on Toast. On stage, it’s riffs, harmonies and a playful theatrical edge, with a set that spans two decades of songs. The Darkness play Cardiff International Arena, Cardiff, on 13 December 2026.
