Info
CMAT brings her sharp, country‑laced pop to The Piece Hall in Halifax on 17 July 2026. From Dublin, Ciara Mary‑Alice Thompson writes story‑songs with direct melodies, pop culture nods and a frank look at relationships, loneliness and the pull of everyday habits. Her sound folds bright pop rhythms into classic country harmonies and ear‑grabbing refrains. The debut album If My Wife New I’d Be Dead (2022) set the mix in place; Crazymad, For Me (2023) pushed it further with a breakup narrative that plays with time and memory. On stage, she favors a direct rapport with the crowd and a playful, theatrical streak.
Katy J Pearson opens with indie pop that leans into folk shimmer and an Americana twang. First heard with Ardyn, the duo formed with her brother Rob, she went solo on Heavenly in 2019 and has since released Return (2020), Sound of the Morning (2022) and Someday, Now (2024). Her songwriting goes straight for the melody, all clean guitars and clear hooks, widened lately by work with Nathan Jenkins, H. Hawkline and Davey Newington, plus a 2024 appearance on Yard Act’s “When The Laughter Stops.”
