Info
CMAT brings her country‑tinged pop to Custom House Square, Belfast, on 31 August 2026. Dublin singer and songwriter Ciara Mary‑Alice Thompson has been shaping a blend of pop, country and Americana since the late 2010s, threading pop‑culture nods through songs about relationships, solitude and everyday fixations. Her debut album, If My Wife New I’d Be Dead (2022), set that mix across intimate ballads and more uptempo cuts, while Crazymad, For Me (2023) took a conceptual turn around heartbreak and the passing of time. On stage, CMAT favors a direct rapport with the audience and a playful, occasionally theatrical delivery that serves the narrative core of her songs.
Also on the bill, Bristol’s Katy J Pearson moves between indie pop, pop rock and folk with clear‑eyed melodies and clean guitars. First noticed with Ardyn, the duo formed with her brother Rob and the EP Universe (2015), she stepped into a solo path on Heavenly Recordings with the single Tonight in 2019. Her albums Return (2020), Sound of the Morning (2022) and Someday, Now (2024) trace a steady broadening of arrangements without losing immediacy. Recent chapters include collaborations with Nathan Jenkins, H. Hawkline and Davey Newington, plus a 2024 feature on Yard Act’s When The Laughter Stops.
