L.A. Guns

On 27 October 2026 at Electric Bristol in Bristol, L.A. Guns bring the Sunset Strip spirit back on stage. Formed in 1983 by guitarist Tracii Guns, the Los Angeles outfit forged a sound of rapid-fire riffs, sleaze rock bite and melodic hooks that nod to 70s hard rock. The band found its lasting chemistry with singer Phil Lewis at the end of the 80s, laying down a catalogue that runs from the punch of “L.A. Guns” (1988) and “Cocked & Loaded” (1989) to the darker turns of “Vicious Circle” (1994) and “American Hardcore” (1996). Through the 2000s, the line-up shifted and the tone toughened, before the renewed Guns–Lewis partnership in the 2010s tightened the focus around a more tuneful hard rock, heard on “The Missing Peace” (2017), “The Devil You Know” (2019), “Checkered Past” (2021) and “Black Diamonds” (2023). On stage, Tracii Guns’ guitar lines and Phil Lewis’s grainy vocals steer a set that links early street-metal cuts to newer tracks with a modern edge.
