Info
Embrace bring their melodic, post-Britpop craft back to the stage at Rock City, Nottingham, on 15 November 2026. Formed in the early 1990s in West Yorkshire around brothers Danny and Richard McNamara, the band with Steve Firth, Mike Heaton and Mickey Dale shaped a sound where tuneful guitars, keys and a taut vocal line drive songs built to linger. The live set draws across their catalogue: early singles like All You Good Good People, Fireworks and One Big Family, the sweep of The Good Will Out, the more restrained mood of Drawn from Memory and If You’ve Never Been, and the return to form on Out of Nothing, carried by Gravity, penned by Chris Martin. Later chapters are in the mix too, from the self-titled Embrace and Love Is a Basic Need to 2022’s How to Be a Person Like Other People.
On stage, Danny McNamara’s grainy voice sits over arrangements that favor melody and space rather than flash, landing between indie rock pulse and pop-rock lift. The band has evolved without dropping its core: generous hooks, chiming guitars, piano lines that open up the choruses, and a steady rhythm section that keeps everything grounded. A set built for singing along, revisiting staples and recent cuts with the same lived-in energy.
