Corrosion of Conformity

Corrosion of Conformity bring their riff-first blend of hardcore roots, sludgy weight and southern metal groove to SWG3 Glasgow on 9 June 2026. Formed in Raleigh in the early ’80s, the band first cut its teeth in the hardcore scene before pushing into crossover territory with breakneck tempos and serrated guitars. Through the ’90s they slowed the pace and deepened the tone: Blind sketched the shift, then Deliverance and Wiseblood welded thick, low-slung riffs to a stubborn punk backbone and a blues-tinged heaviness. Since then, albums from America’s Volume Dealer to No Cross No Crown have kept that balance of heft and hook, fusing swampy textures, thrash edges and an ear for the groove.

On stage, expect a set that digs across eras, from early bark-and-burn to the more expansive, groove-locked side of their catalogue. Guitars grind and swing, basslines punch through the mix, drums move from hardcore snap to southern stomp. In Glasgow, COC come straight to the point: heavy, direct, and driven by the riff.
