Info
Teddy Swims plays Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Scarborough, on 23 July 2026. Raised near Atlanta and known first for a run of 2019 covers, the singer-songwriter has since carved out his own lane between soul, R&B and pop, with shades of gospel, rock and country. He’s built a catalogue that moves from slow-burn ballads to more up-tempo cuts: the EPs Unlearning (2021), Tough Love (2022) and Sleep Is Exhausting (2022), then his first album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) in 2023, carried by the track Lose Control. On stage he comes with a solid band, a voice-forward mix and songs that lean into groove, intimacy and clear storytelling.
Also on the bill, Jordan Rakei, New Zealand-born, Brisbane-raised and now London-based, sits at the crossroads of contemporary soul, jazz, alternative R&B and trip-hop. Built around voice, keys and tight rhythmic work, his discography runs from early EPs to albums Cloak (2016), Wallflower (2017), Origin (2019), What We Call Life (2021) and The Loop (2024), plus club-leaning excursions as Dan Kye. Collaborations with Disclosure, FKJ, Tom Misch and Nightmares on Wax hint at his range; live, he shifts between piano, guitar and electronics, balancing introspective writing and lithe grooves.
