Kesha

Kesha plays Dreamland Margate in Margate on 5 July 2026. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Nashville, Kesha Rose Sebert spent years writing for others and singing backing vocals before breaking through at the end of the 2000s with a feature on Flo Rida’s Right Round. Her debut Animal and the Cannibal EP set her mix of dance-pop, electropop and hip-hop elements, while Warrior leaned further into rock. After a long legal dispute paused releases, she returned with Rainbow in 2017, a more autobiographical turn with hints of rock and country. High Road (2020) alternated uptempo cuts and ballads, then Gag Order (2023), made with Rick Rubin, shifted to a starker, introspective palette. Along the way, she has also collaborated with Pitbull, Zedd and Macklemore.

On stage, Kesha moves between clear pop vocals and a rhythmic, near-rap phrasing, carried by live arrangements that revisit her catalogue. Her sets often weave early singles with newer material, drawing a line from Animal to Gag Order and highlighting the evolution from club-focused pop to more guitar-tinged and confessional songs, without losing the direct, hook-focused writing that runs through her work.
