Tarrus Riley

Tarrus Riley brings his blend of roots reggae, lovers rock and rocksteady to Electric Brixton, London, on 2 August 2026. Born in the Bronx and raised in Jamaica, he started recording young and built a catalogue that balances social themes and love songs with a clear, melodic voice. After early releases like Challenges (2004), Parables (2006) and Contagious (2009), he stripped things back with the acoustic project Mecoustic (2012), then leaned into rocksteady colours on Love Situation (2014) with Dean Fraser. On stage, he favours supple arrangements and vocal harmonies, a style he has taken across the Caribbean, Europe and North America. Along the way he has collaborated beyond reggae’s borders, from Powerful with Major Lazer and Ellie Goulding in 2015 to Lighter with Rvssian and Shenseea in 2020, before the 2020 album Healing confirmed his taste for contemporary reggae shaded with soul.
