Castle Rat

Castle Rat bring their fantasy‑infused doom from Brooklyn to The 1865, Southampton, on 10 August 2026. Led by The Rat Queen on guitar and vocals, the band stages a narrative‑driven set where riffs and characters share the front line. Around her, The Count handles lead guitar lines, The Plague Doctor anchors the low end, and The All‑Seeing Druid drives the pulse; together they defend “The Realm” against their recurring nemesis, Death Herself, the Rat Reaperess. On stage, the quartet blends slow, weighty doom with classic heavy metal surges and a few psychedelic swerves, threading tales of quests, cults and witchcraft.

Formed in the early 2020s, Castle Rat sharpened this world across singles and studio sessions before releasing Into the Realm in 2024. Their show leans into swords‑and‑sorcery imagery, costumes and a touch of theatre, with a taste for stoner and doom and an iconography that nods as much to Sabbath as to Frazetta. The set moves between crawl and charge, with melodic vocals guiding the journey.
