Editors play O2 Academy Brixton in London on 11 March 2027, with a set that traces two decades of British indie shaped by post‑punk revival roots and electronic turns. Formed in 2002 in Birmingham around Tom Smith, Russell Leetch and Ed Lay, the band first carved out a tense, guitar‑driven sound and Smith’s baritone across The Back Room (2005) and An End Has a Start (2007). Keyboards took a front seat on In This Light and on This Evening (2009), before a reshaped line‑up — with Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams joining after Chris Urbanowicz’s departure — opened the door to darker pop and widescreen rock on The Weight of Your Love (2013), In Dream (2015) and Violence (2018). The Black Gold compilation (2019) closed that chapter while adding a few new cuts. In 2022, the arrival of electronic musician Benjamin John Power pushed the group further into synth textures and industrial‑leaning pulses on EBM. On stage, Editors balance taut rhythms, shadowed guitars and colder electronics, moving from urgent early tracks to the denser atmospheres of their recent records.
