The Suicide Machines

The Suicide Machines land at New Cross Inn, London, on 25 May 2026. Born in Detroit’s early-90s punk scene, they stitch together ska upstrokes, lean punk rock and no-frills hardcore, driven by Jason Navarro’s clipped, urgent vocals. The timeline is dense: the skanking rush of Destruction by Definition (1996), the more direct punch of Battle Hymns (1998), then a shift toward melodic punk and tighter hardcore on their self-titled album and Steal This Record at the turn of the 2000s. The lyrics hardened on A Match and Some Gasoline and War Profiteering Is Killing Us All, before the thread picked up again with Revolution Spring in 2020 on Fat Wreck Chords. Live, the band toggles quickly between bounce and break, stacking gang shouts, quick stops and tempo swings in a set that moves fast but stays clear.

Faintest Idea join as support, keeping the ska-punk current flowing with tight rhythms and shout-along hooks.
