Northlane

Northlane lands at Limelight, Belfast on 4 August 2026. Formed in Sydney in 2009, the band first made its mark with a precise, technical metalcore sound shaped by progressive and djent influences. Early releases like Discoveries and Singularity set the tone with syncopated riffs, complex structures and a mix of screamed and melodic vocals. The arrival of vocalist Marcus Bridge in 2014 opened a new chapter: Node brought broader atmospheres and more melodic contours, then Mesmer pushed the writing toward denser, mood-driven pieces.

With Alien, Northlane folded electronic and industrial textures into their modern metal framework, a direction deepened on Obsidian, where heavy, elastic rhythms meet spacious sound design. On stage, that evolution translates into sharp dynamics: jagged grooves against airy passages, low-end weight threaded with synth pulses, and vocals that shift from abrasion to clarity without losing intensity.
