Trentemøller

Trentemøller plays Electric Ballroom in London on 11 March 2027. Copenhagen-based composer and producer Anders Trentemøller first cut his teeth in indie rock before shaping, under his own name, a more electronic universe in the mid-2000s. Early EPs and his debut album The Last Resort set a taste for downtempo, minimal, trip hop and ambient, with precise, often cinematic production and a sombre hue. From 2007 onward he took the project to the stage with a live band, opening his music to a more organic feel.

Over time his sound has leaned into post-punk, shoegaze, dream pop and darkwave textures, a direction heard on Into the Great Wide Yonder, Lost, Fixion, Obverse and Memoria, through to Dreamweaver. On stage, that blend comes alive: synth pulses and roomy beats meet reverb-drenched guitars, basslines that anchor the drift, and vocals that glide between whispers and hooks. The set draws across his catalogue, moving from sparse instrumentals to full-band swells without losing the thread.

Along the way, Trentemøller has remixed or collaborated with Röyksopp, The Knife, Moby, Franz Ferdinand, Depeche Mode, Low and Jehnny Beth, a network that echoes in his live arrangements without dictating them. This date offers a focused dive into his evolving palette, equal parts electronic craft and band-driven tension.
