Placebo « 30th Anniversary Tour »

Placebo bring their 30th Anniversary Tour to OVO Hydro in Glasgow on 30 November 2026. Fronted by Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal, the band has spent three decades reshaping alternative rock with a blend of jagged guitars, cool electronics and intimate, confessional hooks. From the self-titled debut that set their androgynous imprint to the shadowy glow of Sleeping With Ghosts and the more recent Loud Like Love, their catalogue traces constant shifts while keeping a clear, singular voice.

On stage, Molko’s cutting delivery and Olsdal’s low-end drive anchor dense layers of guitars, synths and percussion. The show looks back across eras, folding in early outbursts and later, synth-leaning tracks, with room for staples like Nancy Boy, Pure Morning, Every You Every Me or The Bitter End alongside newer material. Years of touring and collaborations around icons such as David Bowie and Depeche Mode have honed a live sound that moves from tense minimalism to full-throttle release without losing precision.

Three decades in, Placebo return to what they do best: sharp songs, clipped emotions and a dark pop bite, served in widescreen. Glasgow gets the full arc, from first sparks to recent chapters, in one night.
