Glenn Tilbrook is a singer, guitarist and songwriter. More than 40 years after first answering an ad placed by Chris Difford looking for like-minded musicians to form the band that became Squeeze, he remains active.

Squeeze made their recording debut with the Packet of Three EP in 1977. The catalogue includes songs such as Take Me I’m Yours, Cool for Cats, Up the Junction, Another Nail in My Heart, Tempted, Labelled With Love, Black Coffee in Bed and Hourglass, as well as albums including Argybargy, East Side Story, Some Fantastic Place and Cradle to the Grave.

Following Squeeze’s split in 1998, Glenn embarked on a solo career that produced The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook (2001) and Transatlantic Ping-Pong (2004). In 2009, Pandemonium Ensues was recorded with his touring band The Fluffers, while Happy Ending featured contributions from his sons Leon and Wesley alongside long-time collaborators Simon Hanson and Dennis Greaves.

Over the past decade, alongside touring with Squeeze and work on new Squeeze albums, he has undertaken headline tours across the UK and the United States. These shows, often built around his Songbook format, have seen Tilbrook playing theatres, clubs and festivals, reimagining Squeeze songs, showcasing solo material and taking spontaneous audience requests.

In the 2020s he has toured the United States on multiple solo runs, then returned to the UK for tours. Whether performing alone with an acoustic guitar or fronting a full band, his solo appearances are a regular part of his work, alongside Squeeze’s continued live activity.

Whether fronting Squeeze, headlining festivals or taking impromptu requests that might range from Jimi Hendrix to Tony Orlando & Dawn, Glenn Tilbrook continues to perform.
