Joji brings Solaris to The O2 in London on 13 August 2026. Japanese‑Australian artist George Kusunoki Miller, known as Joji, has carved a space where alternative R&B meets lo‑fi pop, ambient textures and hip‑hop undercurrents. Since the In Tongues EP, his songs lean on slow tempos, minimalist electronics and a voice that often plays with the line between whisper and confession. Ballads 1, Nectar and Smithereens pushed that palette further, favoring concise forms and introspective writing without losing a taste for hazy melodies and trap‑tinted beats. On stage, this blend turns into a set that shifts between fragile ballads and denser crescendos, drawing a crowd that connects as much through internet culture as through contemporary pop and R&B.
Also on the bill, Tommy Richman paints a different but close territory: bass‑driven grooves, rhythms that borrow from trap and recent club scenes, and a processed vocal that flips registers on short, immediate hooks. Moving between Virginia and an online‑first approach, he multiplied digital singles before breaking wider in 2024. Signed to ISO Supremacy, his live shows channel a band‑like energy while keeping the melodic, inward tone of his writing—a contrast that fits neatly alongside Joji’s universe at The O2.
