The all-female steampunk metal band Fate Gear comes from Japan and will perform on 9 September 2026 at 17:00 at the Legend Club.
Led by founder Captain Mina, the band performs on stages around the world. In 2007 Mina was a founding member of Destrose, one of the pioneers of the female metal boom. Destrose helped pave the way for Japanese metal bands fronted by women.
Since 2015 Mina has built a band with a distinct personality and a heavy sound rooted in the steampunk aesthetic. She has found her allies in drummer Haruka, bassist Erika and vocalist Nana, who delivers death vocals, clean passages, screams and growls.
Fate Gear’s profile rose when the song “Megabullets” was featured in the Netflix anime Kengan Ashura. The music video for “The Sky Pirates” has surpassed 1 million views on YouTube, and “Live in Blood” has exceeded half a million.
