Marcus Gad & Tribe

On December 5, 2026 at La Moba in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, Marcus Gad & Tribe champion a roots reggae nourished by Kanak culture and a direct engagement with nature. Originally from Nouméa, Marcus Gad has developed since the mid-2010s a bilingual songwriting style in English and French that addresses ecology, spirituality, colonial legacies and social issues. On stage he leans on Tribe, a collective formed between New Caledonia and Europe, for an organic sound built on slow tempos, group vocals and acoustic arrangements.

The set moves between the measured roots of “Purify,” the more meditative, dub-adjacent textures explored with producer Tamal on “Brave New World,” and the balanced arrangements of “Rhythm of Serenity.” Rounded basslines, spare percussion and ethereal pads create a space where the voice drives the narrative, without flashy effects. Between introspective tracks and more inhabited pulses, the dynamic remains controlled and precise, carried by a band accustomed to touring between Europe and the Pacific. An evening devoted to a conscious, expansive reggae, where musical form serves the texts.
