Info

Lucy Rose brings her intimate, folk‑rooted songwriting to Whelan’s, Dublin, on 14 July 2026. The UK singer‑songwriter first came into view in the early 2010s lending her voice to Bombay Bicycle Club, before stepping out solo with Like I Used To (2012) and Work It Out (2015). Since then, she’s traced a clear line through indie folk, folk rock and acoustic pop, keeping the guitar, piano and close‑miked harmonies at the center of her sound.

After leaving a major label, she released Something’s Changing (2017), a record informed by a journey across Latin America and a run of small, direct‑to‑audience shows. No Words Left (2019) followed with a more stripped, piano‑led approach, then This Ain’t The Way You Go Out (2024) broadened her palette without losing the quiet intensity of her writing. On stage, Rose favors uncluttered arrangements and a voice that carries the songs with calm precision, drawing the room into the details. Along the way she has collaborated with Manic Street Preachers, Paul Weller and Logic, and has reunited at times with Bombay Bicycle Club. This date at Whelan’s is an occasion to reconnect with a songwriter who lets the melody and the lyric do the talking.
