Wild Rivers

Wild Rivers land at The KEE to Bala in Bala on August 14, 2026. The Toronto-based quartet shapes harmony-led indie folk with a pop edge, carried by the dual voices of Khalid Yassein and Devan Glover, alongside Andrew Oliver and Julien Laferrière. On stage, their songs s’appuient sur des guitares souvent acoustiques, une rythmique souple et des arrangements épurés, croisant folk, soft rock et indie pop sans surcharge.

Since their self-titled debut in 2016, the band has honed melody and structure across a run of EPs. Songs To Break Up To (2020) takes on rupture, distance and nostalgia with slower tempos and more detailed textures. Their second album, Sidelines (2022), widens the palette with more arranged tracks while keeping close-in storytelling and the balance between male and female vocals at its core. Expect a set that moves from intimate ballads to broader, layered cuts, grounded in tight harmonies and clear, conversational songwriting.
