Apparat, the stage name of Berlin producer Sascha Ring, has navigated since the late 1990s between IDM, ambient, techno and experimental pop. On 11 October 2026 at Le Nouveau Siècle in Lille, he brings back to the fore this blend of atmospheric textures, detailed rhythms and voices treated as an instrument — a signature refined across albums that shifted his writing from the club toward more melodic forms, from Multifunktionsebene and Duplex to Walls, The Devil’s Walk and LP5, not to mention his detours into live performance and film music.

On stage, Apparat cultivates a precise balance between electronic arrangement and an organic, breathing quality. Stretched pads intersect with delicate pulses, song surfaces then dissolves into abstraction, and contrasts assert themselves without exaggeration. His solo trajectory, regular collaborations — from Ellen Allien to the Moderat project with Modeselektor — and his compositions for theatre and cinema nourish a live show built to the millimetre, conceived to evolve the sonic space in layers, without excess, with careful attention to timbre and detail.
