Chantal Kreviazuk, Canadian singer, songwriter and pianist, emerged in the late 90s with Under These Rocks and Stones, then Colour Moving and Still and What If It All Means Something, where her clear tone and keyboard-centered writing took center stage. Alongside her solo work tied to film and television, she’s co-written with Raine Maida for artists like Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson, keeping a direct, melodic pop sensibility anchored to the piano.
Raine Maida first made his mark as the voice of Our Lady Peace, carrying the alternative tension of albums from Naveed to Spiritual Machines II into a more bare, folk-leaning solo path with The Hunters Lullaby and We All Get Lighter. He balances spoken-word inflections with reflective lyrics, and with Kreviazuk has also explored their joint project Moon vs Sun.
