The High Kings « Rocky Road to Dublin - 2026 Tour »

Formed in Dublin in 2008, The High Kings carry the living tradition of Irish folk with tight vocal harmonies, story-driven ballads, pub songs and arrangements open to contemporary touches, sometimes with a country hue. The current lineup — Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Darren Holden and Paul O’Brien — brings together family heritage, Riverdance experience and solo paths, giving their repertoire an easy swing between inherited songs and new writing.

On September 24, 2026 at The Opera House in Toronto, their Rocky Road to Dublin 2026 Tour lines up favorites from their early releases (the self-titled debut, Memory Lane, Friends for Life) alongside material from Grace & Glory, the retrospective Decade, and The Road Not Taken (2023), their first album made entirely of original songs. Expect close harmonies up front, with guitar, banjo, bodhrán and accordion rotating around the vocals, and arrangements that keep the tradition crisp without losing its roots.

Regularly touring across Ireland, the United States and Europe, The High Kings shape a set that balances transmission and adaptation, where well-traveled airs sit next to recent compositions written for the band.
