Tengu presents: Deetron, Tasha

We invite Tasha back again to Tengu, this time with Deetron for a collaborative, high-energy B2B: techno blends and driving rhythmic styles, with Meda-Ava on support. The event takes place on 6 June 2026 at 10:00 pm at Yamamori Tengu, Dublin.

Tasha first made her name as a DJ in the drum & bass community, with early support from DJ Flight on BBC 1Xtra. After DJ Storm made her a resident at her Feline night, she became a firm part of the community. Since 2018, Tasha has been a member of the station's core lineup. Tasha’s DJing style matches the textured background of her influences and has developed into a flowing form, weaving tunes together from her bass-informed home of the UK, alongside 4x4 techno forms, broken beat, or straight-up D&B rollers.

One of the only DJs who has built their career separately in both drum & bass and techno, she cannot be pigeonholed into genre conformities. Whether it's a peak-time slot, a jungle set, or a mixed bag B2B, Tasha adapts to different contexts. Her sound has taken her to festivals and clubs in cities around the world, from London to South America.

Making and playing music for almost 30 years, Deetron shows consistency, creativity, and technical skill. Known for his three-deck DJ sets, signature remixes, and a diverse discography, he has built a career with a focus on quality, depth, and authenticity. Raised in Bern, Switzerland, Deetron’s passion was rooted in hip-hop and turntablism, driven by a love for vinyl. He absorbed the traditions of DJing: a broad yet accessible selection and skills built up from hours of practice and dedication.

Today, Deetron continues to influence a new generation of DJs and producers. Vinyl remains an intrinsic part of his creative process, aligned with his roots. As a producer, he has collaborated with artists such as Jamie Lidell, Steve Spacek, and Peven Everett, and remains an active remixer. His 2013 album Music Over Matter features dancefloor-ready tracks with a range of vocalists from across the house and techno spectrum.
