Info
Jacob Allen, better known as Puma Blue, brings his intimate, late‑night soul to Opium, Dublin on June 1, 2026. Raised in South London and now based in Atlanta, the singer, producer and songwriter first emerged with the EPs Swum Baby (2017) and Blood Loss (2018), then carved a darker palette on his debut album In Praise of Shadows (2021) and its live film A Late Night Special. His songs drift between dream and melancholy, carried by a light, breathy voice, spare guitar lines and the use of silence as rhythm.
On stage, Allen plays with a close-knit band, letting the arrangements breathe and open to moments of improvisation. The set moves in gentle surges, from murmured confession to sharper intensity, with the group tracing subtle grooves and leaving space for the words to land. After the more collective, reflective Holy Waters (2023) and the stripped-back antichamber (2025), Puma Blue keeps paring things down, focusing on tone, texture and quiet tension. Expect a fluid mix of recent material and earlier tracks, shaped for a room where every detail can be heard.
