Raised in Wicklow and now based in Waterford, the singer-songwriter builds intimate, melodic songs around an acoustic core and a voice that leans into the grain rather than smoothing it out. Known on the Irish live circuit for stark, thoughtful covers like Running Up That Hill and Seventeen Going Under, he folds them into a set that keeps his own writing at the centre. A nod to Shane MacGowan often surfaces, from the tribute Song With No Name to his take on Kitty, tying his influences back to a shared Irish songbook. After supports with Damien Dempsey, Gavin James and Kingfishr, Lofts brings a set that favours closeness over polish: clear melodies, open dynamics, words up front.
