Info
Shed Seven land in Dublin on 24 October 2026 at Vicar Street. Formed in York in 1990, the band staked out a space between britpop, alternative and indie, built on melodic guitars, straight-ahead choruses and a direct onstage energy. Fronted by Rick Witter with Tom Gladwin on bass and, across different periods, guitarists Joe Johnson and Paul Banks, they first made their mark on the UK live circuit before signing to Polydor and releasing Change Giver (1994), A Maximum High (1996) and Let It Ride (1998), records that fixed their place in the 90s guitar landscape. After Banks’s departure and a final round with Truth Be Told (2001), the group split in 2003 before a 2007 reunion put them back on the road and, a decade later, back in the studio with Instant Pleasures (2017).
Since then, Shed Seven have kept moving with a refreshed lineup including Tim Wills and Rob Maxfield, heard on A Matter of Time (2024) and Liquid Gold (2024), which revisits and re-records key tracks from their catalogue. On stage, the formula stays lean: ringing riffs, punchy hooks and that upfront delivery they’ve honed over the years. A night for fans of 90s UK guitar bands and anyone into direct, melodic rock.
