Info
On 31 May 2026 at IMMA, Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, Forbidden Fruit’s Sunday brings together producers, songwriters and selectors across club and pop horizons. Montreal-based Kaytranada threads supple house, hip-hop pulse and R&B textures, moving from the funk-laced 99.9% and the vocal drive of Bubba to the recent Timeless, with grooves built on low-end bounce and fluid swing. London’s Joy Crookes carries a soulful pop where brass and strings meet contemporary beats, writing about identity and city life since her debut album Skin.
French DJ-producer Folamour channels disco, funk and jazz into warm, melodic house, from Umami to Manifesto, balancing dancefloor momentum and song-led turns. Los Angeles singer-songwriter Jensen McRae strips it back with narrative folk-pop, clear melodies and piano-and-guitar arrangements heard on Are You Happy Now?. Under his 1tbsp alias, Brisbane’s Maxwell Byrne leans into indie-house and nimble rhythms, following Mosquito Love and a run of collaborative singles. Dublin’s MOIO brings a Nigerian-Irish blend of R&B, alt-pop and soft-focus production, shaped end-to-end by a multi-instrumentalist voice.
