Info

The Bouncing Souls and The Flatliners bring a night of melodic punk to History, Toronto on December 5, 2026. Two bands shaped by DIY circuits and constant touring, each with its own take on hooks, grit and sing-alongs.

Formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1989, The Bouncing Souls fuse East Coast hardcore roots with catchy, straight-ahead punk. Short songs, big choruses and a steady run of records from The Good, the Bad & the Argyle to How I Spent My Summer Vacation and The Gold Record have built a setlist that moves fast without losing melody. It’s a sound anchored by years on the road and a no-frills approach that keeps the focus on the songs.

Born out of Richmond Hill near Toronto in the early 2000s, The Flatliners began in ska punk before tightening into a more melodic, hard-edged punk rock. From The Great Awake and Cavalcade to New Ruin, the band sharpens tempos and guitars while keeping a clear sense of melody and a rough-edged vocal delivery.

Detroit’s The Suicide Machines round out the bill with their mix of ska rhythms and punchy hardcore, a back-and-forth dynamic heard from Destruction by Definition to Revolution Spring.
