Alela Diane will stop by La Source in Fontaine on 13 November 2026 with a voice-and-guitar-centred folk set, nourished by her Californian roots. First noticed with The Pirate’s Gospel, then To Be Still, she has since drawn a clear line between spare songwriting and hushed, sometimes electric arrangements. After the collective adventure of Wild Divine, she refocused her writing with About Farewell, opened an instrumental interlude alongside Ryan Francesconi on Cold Moon, and then honed a blend of folk ballads, country touches and piano-and-strings textures on Cusp and Looking Glass.

On stage, Alela Diane favours an intimate format and close listening. The songs unfold without ornamentation, carried by her guitar playing and a presence that foregrounds the lyrics and melodies. The concert moves between her early work and more recent material, performed solo or in a reduced lineup, with the attention to detail that has marked her career. An evening to travel through two decades of American songwriting up close, within the intimate surroundings of La Source.
