Cosmo Regarts presents BCUC + Kimia (afrobeat, punk rock, soul). Thursday 8 October 2026 at Le Bikini, doors open at 7:30 PM.

BCUC (Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness) has channelled the spirit of Soweto for more than twenty years. Indigenous funk, conscious hip‑hop and punk‑rock energy fuse into something original and rooted. Their mantra: music for the people, by the people, with the people. From modest beginnings—rehearsing in a shipping container just steps from the church where Desmond Tutu helped organise the escape of the most wanted anti‑apartheid activists—they kept believing in their dream of emancipation. Today they perform on festival stages such as Glastonbury West Holts, Roskilde, Afropunk Brooklyn, WOMAD, Fusion, Sziget, FMM Sines, Beaches Brew, Boomtown, Colours of Ostrava, Couleur Café, to name but a few. In 2023, BCUC received the WOMEX Artist Award.

Kimia — opening act. Kimia presents a world where African sonorities collide with electronic rhythms, all expressed in her native Lingala. Live, vocals and dance converge through her perspective as a young Afro‑descendant woman, blending traditional instruments, afro‑electro beats and analogue synth. An invitation to explore an imaginative, dreamlike realm where nostalgia, visions, disillusionment, rage, strength and hope are voiced.
