Ben Mazué

On 6 December 2026 Ben Mazué will perform at Forest National in Vorst. The French singer-songwriter balances between chanson and pop, with a parlando-like flow that borders on spoken word. Raised in Nice and later based in Paris, he traded medicine for writing and the stage. In the mid-2000s he immersed himself in the Paris slam scene and was noticed in 2006 during Les Inrockuptibles' CQFD contest. After the EP Niqquedouille (2008), his self-titled debut (2011) laid the foundation: melodious songs that leave room for spoken passages and small stories from everyday life.

With 33 ans (2014) and La femme idéale (2017) the focus shifted toward warmer pop arrangements and relationship chronicles, while Paradis (2020) further deepened that autobiographical thread in the form of monologues and snapshots. On stage Mazué builds his set like a narrated concert: songs alternating with spoken tales, close and precise in observation. In addition to his own work he writes for others and has appeared in collaborations, including with Grand Corps Malade and Gaël Faye. At Forest National he brings that storytelling rhythm to a larger venue, with attention to text, melody and breath.
