Dan Whitlam

On 27 October 2026 Dan Whitlam will be at Lido, Cuvrystraße 7, 10997 Berlin. The South Londoner brings his field of tension of spoken word, alternative rap and performance poetry to the stage, carried by a flexible flow, a soul-tinged voice and lyrics about everyday life, coming of age and larger social questions up to the climate crisis. His pieces unfold in clear images, shifting between intimately delivered passages and understated beats that propel rather than press.

Live, Whitlam keeps the dynamics lean and direct: words front and center, pauses that carry weight, and pared-down hip-hop grooves as an underpinning. After early short formats that earned him a community and appearances on London stages, he has sharpened his set across Europe. With Strangers (Again), his debut album from February 2026, he concentrates the blend of introspection and observation; on stage he draws on that material as well as earlier texts. Not a show for showboating, but a watchful storytelling that stays close to its characters and leaves room for nuance.
