Weatherday

Weatherday lands at The Great Hall in Toronto on November 10, 2026. The solo project of Swedish artist Lola, also known as Sputnik, grew out of online DIY circles and folds lo-fi indie rock, emo and shoegaze into long, shifting songs. On stage, pieces move through layered guitars, saturated textures, jolting drums and a voice often run through filters, with fragile melodies crossing noisier passages.

The set leans on Come In, the self-produced 2019 album that mapped Weatherday’s non-linear writing with abrupt transitions and a rough grain, while opening a window to Weatherglow, the 2022 collaboration with South Korean musician Asian Glow, where the sound grows denser and brushes post-rock dynamics. Parallel experiments as Lola’s Pocket PC feed in subtle electronic colors and pacing. The show scales a bedroom aesthetic to a hall without dropping the DIY feel, sliding between quiet stretches and sudden bursts as structures keep shifting.
