Info
The East Pointers play The Great Hall in Toronto on November 5, 2026. Formed on Prince Edward Island by cousins Koady and Tim Chaisson with guitarist Jake Charron, the trio forged a sound where fiddle, banjo and guitar meet between Maritime Celtic tradition and contemporary folk. Secret Victory (2015) set the tone, alternating instrumentals and songs; What We Leave Behind (2017) deepened the blend of island roots and modern writing. With Yours To Break (2019), they pushed into pop structures and subtle electronic textures without losing the pulse of reels and jigs.
Their lyrics trace coastal life, family ties and everyday stories. Since Koady’s passing in 2022, the band has reorganized and kept the catalog alive on stage, inviting collaborators from the Canadian roots and indie scene and reshaping arrangements for the room. Live, the set moves from dance-led tunes to more intimate songs, holding onto traditional rhythms while opening space for fresh colors.
