Desiree - Gate Club Paris

On 18 April 2026 at Gate Club in Paris, Desiree takes to the decks. Hailing from the South African scene, the DJ and producer crafts sets in which house flirts with Afro grooves and broader electronic textures. Her strength lies in a flexible selection that refuses to be boxed into a single subgenre and keeps the energy flowing without interruption. On stage, she favors narrative arcs and extended transitions, allowing the percussion, basslines and vocals that thread through her playlists to breathe.

Recognized well beyond Johannesburg, Desiree has made multiple appearances on BBC Radio 1 — including an Essential Mix — as well as on Boiler Room and Rinse FM, and has taken to the booths at Panorama Bar, DC-10, fabric and Hï Ibiza, as well as the stages of Glastonbury and Coachella. In the studio, she released the EP Intersexy in 2025, featuring the title track and "Khuluma Nami" alongside Jabulile Majola. She is also responsible for reinterpretations of Nina Simone's "Four Women", Disclosure and Pa Salieu's "King Steps", Keinemusik's "Pussy Power" with Nomi Ruiz, LP Giobbi's "All I Need" and SalAelo Selota's "Thrrr... Phaaa!". Her MMINO project extends this vision as a platform and party space, with particular attention to the female and queer scenes she publicly represents.
