Amistat bring their close-harmony folk to Upstairs, 15 Bastion Square, Victoria, on July 22, 2026. Formed by twin brothers Josef and Jan Prasil, the duo writes acoustic songs built on intertwined voices, lean arrangements and a light indie pop tint. Born in Germany and raised in Italy, with Czech and Australian roots, they first found their footing in Australia before settling in Europe in 2019. Active since 2012, they’ve released several EPs and toured steadily across Europe, the UK and Australia, shaping a catalogue that draws on travel, family ties and the pull of the road.

Live, Amistat keep the focus on the essentials: voices up front, acoustic guitars in close support, occasional percussion to lift the tempo. The set moves from pared-back ballads to more rhythmic passages, always centering the songwriting and the blend of their two timbres. After more than 150 dates in 2022, the duo arrives well-travelled and joined by guests for this date in Victoria.
