Celtic Legends

Celtic Legends celebrates its 25th anniversary with a new production that puts Irish dance at the center. On 6 February 2027 at Reims Arena in Reims, the company brings together dancers, musicians and singers for a journey into the heart of tradition, between percussive footwork, group ensembles and solos that continuously converse with live music. Born on the road, the troupe has shaped an accessible, rhythm-driven stage language nourished by rearranged reels, jigs and ballads.

The choreographies by Jacintha Sharpe play on contrasts, alternating percussive accelerations and more melodic interludes. On the musical side, five instrumentalists, under the direction of Sean McCarthy, carry Celtic Legends’ emblematic sound with an entirely live performance. Uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar interplay, supporting the syncopated steps and the ensemble tableaux without unnecessary effects.

After tours across the globe, Celtic Legends returns with a tighter, more vibrant format conceived for the stage. An immersion in today’s Celtic aesthetic, where the dancers’ energy and the precision of the arrangements come together to tell, over two hours, Ireland in motion.
