On 7 May 2026, Le Kilowatt in Vitry-sur-Seine will host Panam' not dead #4 featuring The Exploited and Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs. Formed in Edinburgh in the late 1970s, The Exploited, fronted by Wattie Buchan, set the yardsticks for the UK82 wave, positioned between street punk and hardcore. On stage, chanted slogans, terse riffs and gang vocals answer blunt, direct lyrics inherited from albums such as Punk’s Not Dead and Troops of Tomorrow. Still touring, the band maintains this unfiltered approach while embracing the more metallic inflections that have appeared across their records.
Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs plug punk into Breton traditions. Centered around Loran, formerly of Bérurier Noir, distorted guitars, biniou and bombarde (traditional Breton bagpipe and oboe-like pipe) and traditional singing weave together, in both Breton and French. Since the mid-2000s the band has solidified this union on albums such as Dañs an diaoul, Amzer an Dispac’h and Breizh Anok, and brings it to the stage with a dance-hall energy where the breath of the fest-noz (the Breton night dance) meets the drive of the riffs.
